RICE LAKE, Wis – No Better Friend Corp. hosted a showing of Desert One, in Rice Lake yesterday, June 17, 2021, and we are pleased that Kevin Hermening and hundreds of guests were able to join us for the showing.
Desert One is the true story of one of the most daring rescues in modern US history that ended the Iran Hostage Crisis. Hermening is one of the Marine Corps guards that was taken hostage by the Iranian government back in 1979 for 444 days. He is a Wisconsin native and currently lives in Mosinee, WI.
At a time when the Biden Administration has been enabling the Iranian government to wreak havoc with world affairs, this was a great opportunity for the community to hear directly about the Iranian government’s long-time role as the world’s largest state sponsor of terror.
Hermening joined Kevin Nicholson before the showing of the movie for a brief question and answer segment before the showing and to talk about his personal story.
This showing of Desert One was the first out of two showings that No Better Friend Corp. will host this summer. The next showing is in Hartland, WI on July 24th. Learn more about Kevin Hermening’s story in this episode of the Right Idea podcast.
